Child Roll Edge Cap

Sizes: S, (M), (L)
2, (2), (3) skeins Debbie Bliss Merino Chunky (55 yards each)
16 in. 10 1/2 needles, double point size 10 1/2
Gauge: 3 1/2 stitches = 1 in.

Cast on 56, (63), (70) stitches with circular needle. Join being careful not to twist stitches. Place marker at the beginning of round.
Knit every round for 5 1/2 in. (6 1/2 in), (7 1/2 in)
Change to double pointed needles and decrease as follows:

1st dec. row: K5, K2 tog. Repeat to end of row.
2nd dec. row: K4, K2 tog. Repeat.
3rd dec row: K3, K2 tog. Repeat.
4th dec. row: K2, K2 tog. Repeat.
5th dec row: K1, K2 tog. Repeat.
6th & 7th dec rows: K2 tog around.
Break yarn leaving 12 in. tail. Thread through a tapestry needle and pull through remaining stitches. Tie off and weave in ends.

Velvet Touch Edge Cap

Sizes: S, (M), (L)
1, (1), (2) skeins Velvet Touch (115 yards each)
16 in. size 6 needles, double point size 6
Gauge: 5 1/2 stitches = 1 in.

Cast on 72, (80), (88) stitches with circular needle. Join being careful not to twist stitches. Place marker at the beginning of round.
Knit every round for 5 in. (5 1/2 in), (6 in)
Change to double pointed needles and decrease as follows:

Row 1: K5, K2 tog. Repeat to end.
Row 2: K4, K2 tog. Repeat.
Row 3: K3, K2 tog. Repeat.
Row 4: K2, K2 tog. Repeat.
Row 5: K1, K2 tog. Repeat.
Rows 6 & 7: K2 tog around.
Break yarn leaving 12 in. tail. Thread through a tapestry needle and pull through remaining stitches. Tie off and weave in ends.
Make pom pom and attach securely to top.
